What does a day at God's Gifts Preschool look like?
We love to PLAY as we LEARN!
Each morning at 9:15 our teachers will meet you in the drop off line, greet your child and walk them into the building. We take coats off, wash hands and start our day. A typical day includes many activities that engage our youngest learners.
-
Circle time gives children the opportunity to listen to stories, sing songs or do a finger play. This large group time is a chance to share ideas and feelings while developing language and practicing social skills. Activities might include: calendar, weather and show and tell.
-
Free choice play offers the opportunity for children to explore many things: from blocks, small manipulatives and much more! Through play children will build, sort, count, use their imagination and practice social skills all while having fun with friends. Activities may include: playdough, blocks, dramatic play, toys, etc.
-
Center time activities are set up and can include things like Science, Art, Math, or Writing
-
Snack is a time to refuel after our fun activities. Our healthy snacks are provided by parents. Parents asked to bring a healthy snack off our "Approved Snack List" a few times throughout the school year.
-
Large motor time is when children can go outside OR play and ride bikes in our indoor large motor area.
-
Closing circle is when we have a bible story, prayer and say good byes for the day.
